

So I moved the Regions folder from steam directory to " (.)username\Documents\SimCity 4". Yes, could be played, the NAM pieces would show, but no way to save the game, create a region. One virgin region named timbuktu (not the tutorial though). It confused the hell out of the game! The maps were gone. The default path is " (.)username\Documents\SimCity 4" and it's recommended not to change it. That wasn't a problem, the game could be played and saved. It did not create a "(.)username\Documents\SimCity 4" directory, which is where Plugins, Regions and HTTP Cache would normally be stored.

Here's the story:įirstly: The vanilla instalation of SimCity 4 installed folder Regions into the "(.)steam\steamapps\common\SimCity 4 Deluxe".
